Dear folks,

Thank you for all the pictures! They are very nice, & so is the letter-paper you wrote on. I'm afraid I can't reply in kind. You will have to wait until our next visit to see the pictures we have been taking. They in general do not print up well and the process is expensive.

I am resting for a moment on one of our most hectic days. [[strikethrough]] so [[/strikethrough]] I did laundry & bought 5 or so gifts, two trips down town involved (I got Jack some pants which I had to wait for the cuffing [[?]] on); at about 2 we began to wash the car. It was above freezing, but washing & waxing for about 1 1/2 hours was not too comfortable. Then Jack rushed back to work & I tried to clean up the [[?]] of house, go down town, etc. Jack had to do final work on the experiment today & also very busy in the shop cutting out a piece of metal so [[?]] to fit a
