tonight & then we can develop a roll of film to show at Chicago over Christmas. We were to show slides at the Thanksgiving family get-together but we brought up Mr. & Mrs. Lipkin and their bags instead of the projector.

This week has been, will be busy. I had an hour exam this morning & have a fearful amount of homework due Friday. As soon as that's in, I have two physics articles to translate. I should give you a brief sketch, in the war, of my recently victorious battle with the physics librarian. We used to have a non-professional librarian, a Mrs. Runkel, who was a wonderful personality, loved by all. Then they found, finally, a qualified librarian (degree in science. M.S. in "library science"), a Mr. Walker. He immediately built a fortress (where there'd only been a desk or two), got secretaries & all sorts of library help, clamped down fines & regarded everybody including professors with suspicion. He wasn't terribly well liked as a result. He is, we decided, bitter because he flunked out at getting an advanced degree (easily deduced from his educational history). Anyway, he began bothering me by asking me to leave when the library closed
