Dear folks,

Jack is out flying the windshield wiper motor (he always seems to be doing something like that!). As it happens, it has been acting peculiarly for years. When it quit yesterday in a terrific rain, we bought a new one; but when he examined the old one he found he could fix it after all without much effort, so I guess they will take the new one back, a good thing since an electric motor is fairly expensive.

We are leaving about 5 today for Chicago - so late both to avoid the rush and to take Jack's boss, Prof. Lipkin and his wife, to Chicago with us. Somehow that man never learned to drive (New Yorkers often don't, I guess) and is just now learning. We will return Friday (not they).

The pictures enclosed were taken in Kickapoo last summer by Gloria DeWit. The names on the back are not in order of the persons, necessarily. When we got on top there was a rock throwing and rolling contest, which Roland won. They just found these pictures. You
