About the knee socks - I believe they come in dacron-wool cotton or some such combination, are of a coarse nature, preferable colors being black, gray, red.

Had an hour exam today I will have another next Monday. I hate these times. 

Last weekend we entertained the [Davises?] (4 meals), which wore me out in more ways than one. They are not very pleasant to be with, but Jack feels sorry for Fred & keeps seeing him. Monday night we were shown the West four slides of the Ken Rogers (with DeWits), a very pleasant evening for a change with some physics discussion which left Ken's non-entity wife out completely but was enjoyed very much by me. 

Well, must go to grocery store now. Got recipe in time.
