Dear folks,

We are on the eve, it seems, of traveling up to Chicago - Friday night we go.  Tomorrow night we attend a party given by the Frauenfelders, who are leaving for his sabbatical in about two weeks (gone a year).  I have to bring a casserole & prepare it somewhere between 5, which I get home & 6, when we arrive -- it wont be my best effort, I'm afraid (as well as bathing & dressing, of course).  I am getting ready to move some things up to Chicago for storage also.

Work on the apartment goes on almost every evening in some form.  The 20 yards of curtain are dyed, sewn, & hanging, but they curled when incorrectly ironed & I am having  to re-iron.  The dyeing was successful after about 1/2 - way thru (not all curtains are in living room!), and produced deep, rich tones.  I think I could do a really good job the next time!  Sewing consumed very much time, on a borrowed machine, but also improved my
