are pleasant.

In case you don't get our last letter, I will repeat end-of-semester news: Jack passed his optics (last) proficiency with a grade of 99 and got an A in nuclear physics; I got all A's too.

We went to a very good movie last night called The Golden Age of Comedy : annotated highlights from comedies with famous '20's comedians.[[strikethrough]] They were [[/strikethrough]] They had some good animal ones (cat beatin, at checkers, lions chasing all kinds of people, clever dogs); various slap-stick with Laurel and Hardy [[strikethrough]] and, best [[/strikethrough]] including, the best of the lot, a movie about Tin Lizzies. A long line of the rickety little cars were held up on a hot day by road machinery. Our heroes started backing up into their [[strikethrough]] prede [[/strikethrough]] neighbors, & gradually it built up into a mad house of collapsing Lizzies & irate people, and others.

I don't see David Hughes in the current directory, so it may be that he has obtained his degree and left.

We will go to Chicago this weekend, beginning right after work. Last week end Jack wanted to rest at home. We actually took a long trip (2 hr) with the De Wits & another couple, to Turkey Run State Park in Indiana, which was a lot of fun.

Love,
Doris
