Dear folks,

I was glad to get all the clippings on the Abominable Snowman. It so happens that when Jack made me earrings last week they came out looking like foot prints, 3 toes (not 4, unfortunately), so we called them Abominable Snowman tracks. By the way, you're sure you wouldn't accept earrings? Jack's mother has just written to say she'll come down & visit us this Sunday, & she specified earrings she'd like, so I'll make them one night this week.

Jack has finally got all the upholsters firmly attached to the car. Last week end we did a lot of work: he on upholstery, & I on sewing. I repaired his windbreaker jacket, turning its collar, turning up cuffs & bottom to conceal wear, & putting in a new zipper. This took many hours, because the material is very tough & heavy. I also cut out the new coat lining ([[?]] and an interlining) and sewed it partly together
