and we both liked.

You needn't hurry sending the book. Jack is really extremely busy. He has his research, which he feels is going too slowly; his one course; another two audited courses, one of which, theoretical nuclear physics, is given only every two or three years and which he, as a nuclear student, should be familiar with, the other course being optics, which he must take the final in. He spends about 44 hours a week on research and must do everything else on top.

I too am busy, having about 20-30 tough problems from 40-50 pages reading ([[?]] page) in the one math course per week and a stepped-up Russian schedule (teacher getting tough). Fortunately, the other math course is easy, the' we have an hour exam every few weeks (one this Friday). I have taken to studying in the physics building, keeping coffee there so as to have it with Jack in his lab downstairs. The kinds (7 of them) in our house are all in the 2-5 age group and not well disciplined, and getting on my nerves during the day. It's much more fun to be in the physics building anyway.

Well, back to lunch-making. Oh, a new dessert you might like: freeze to a [[meesh?]] 2 cups of double-strength [[Sanka??]], a little cocoa added for extra flavor (sweeten all), serve with frozen custard on top-- very tasty.

Love,
Doris
