Dear folks,

Thanks for all the [[crossed-out]] the [[/crossed-out]] news, recipes & all. Things are very tight new in work indeed. I was fortunate enough to get an A in my math [[?]] exam Monday, but out was an easy exam. I am worried about finals & don't have enough time to do them justice. 

Do you think you could find out if I left my ice skates with you? I probably put them in the attic, but in a rather restricted and I think, with all my things. If you find them, will you please send them here? We took a little walk to Crystal Lake the other night and found a big starting party in progress, many people skating over good thick ice. This will probably continue into February & I'd love to try to skate, it looks like such a nice sport. Jack can skate.

Sorry to hear of Paul's accident. Looks as if he could sue fo ra change, & hope he does. 

Very little going on but study. I finally bought the big, best Russian dictionary. Next semester we need it, we read a non-simplified text. I will be three physics then, & plan to take
