- get to Chicago by Wednesday (at least!) of the next week. Then leave for D.C. on Friday a.m. in order to recuperate one day. I received word that my Civil Service exam & rating was transferred to D.C. but have not as yet heard from Bu Standards. I certainly hope that Dad is at home again when this letter reaches you. He really should have flown down & back. I hope he & the postal inspector got together on the train, at least. Its a pity I couldn't have let Ina know that he was coming; she lives in a suburb of Atlanta. Well, I'll get back to my last big push. Oh, we had a student "riot" last week you may have heard of, since it got national publicity (tear gas used). It was really a very mild affair & some students may be unjustly punished for merely going out to look at the crowd of water-fighters. Love, Doris
