Dear folks,

The weather here has been very temperamental. So temperamental, in fact, as to almost destroy our car-washing. However... while you can put on the usual preservative inside of half an hour, polishing wax really means business ... near five I came down to help with the elbow-grease & as the sun really shut up shop at seven we had finished -- but hadn't put on the vital preservative wax. We were tired & hungry, so, while Jack was for finishing I called off. For the next three solid days it rained or snowed, including a really thick mantle one day. So, 3/4 hour before my Russian class one day, when the sun was actually out, I took down the bucket (you have to wash just before applying wax) & started in. I went off to class 1/5 done, & when I returned foud Jack miraculously having done just around to where I stopped, unaware of my work! So at least the car is in shape! It now looks & works better than when we got it a year ago. Great little auto.
