Dear Folks,

You will note the change of address.

We had been unpressuredly looking for a new place, but last Friday the pressure went on, or rather the straw was added. The people upstairs had always made a lot of noise but several new factors were added: a baby teething (crying 3-4 times a night) was the worst, and the same baby learning to run with the first child made day-time increasingly noisy. We couldn't sleep several nights a week and could never make it up in the day. This had to stop!

We looked at a lot of places Friday & could decide on none. Saturday we had to go to Chicago & we didn't return until Mon. a.m. Right after lunch Monday we were lucky to find this new place. It is $5 more a month, but our old rent was abnormally low. It is on the top floor of a big old house (11 apts in all!) and we share the bath with [[strikethrough]] one other [[/strikethrough]] a single man -- but when we learned that he was a physics teacher or student & a Russian to boot we decided we wouldn't mind. Also, he is very solitary and hardly ever [[strikethrough]] was [[/strikethrough]] is home, hardly ever uses the bath as far as I can make out. We can put our bikes in the basement or hang wash there. I have also agreed with our ex-upstairs people to do my wash there, since they drove us out being understood, so I continue to get free laundry if I like.
