Miss Stevenson
Sec Fre. Com.

Will you have the kindness to inform me, as far as you are able at this time, the number of teachers you will probably send into Virginia, and the locations where they will labor. We are seeking this information from all the societies.
Richmond City will be divided into school districts, and the scholars in their attendance restricted to their own. Yours in the 1st District extending from 3rd Street to the upper limits of the town. The schools in each district will be strictly graded. At the Bakery there may be as many grades as teachers. The assignment of teachers to classes is a matter of some delicacy and certainly of a good deal of importance. The teachers generally prefer the advanced classes. I have no knowledge of some of your teachers, and less than you have of any. Will you indicate their positions in this arrangement of work?

Very Respectfully Your Servt & Friend
