Rev. Crammond Kennedy
cor sec
Dear Sir: In my letter of the 6th inst I asked for an order on the clerk of the court of this city for the deed of the lots in which your buildings stand. It is desirable to withdraw it at once to see whether the terms in which it is drawn are such as will enable your society to hold it. The lawyers say that if it is drawn to Mr Collins as Treasurer of your society, it is not valid, as the laws of Va. cannot recognize a foreign corporation. If it is so drawn, the matter can be corrected without much trouble in tow or three difficult ways.
If I am to carry forward the Normal School building I should be callin on you soon for the money Miss Baker raised.
Yours Truly
R.M. Manly
