Bvt. Brig Gen. O. Brown
A.A.A.G.

General:
I have the honor to state that a communication from Capt. J.F. Wilcox Asst. Sup. Dated Waverly, Sussex Co. Va. Feb. 21, 1867, asking for an appropriation of $75. for a school house near that place, was returned to him with the endorsement that the money could not be appropriated until the maintenance of the school was provided for. Since then, I have succeeded in procuring the adoption of the school by the O.L. Presbyterian General Assembly. I therefore respectfully recommend that the request of Capt. Wilcox be granted.
