Rev. J.B. Smith
Gen. Agt. P.E.F. Com.

My Dear Sir:
I enclose a communication from Bvt. Maj. J.R. Stone, Sup. 2d Dist — one of many from different parts of the state — asking aid in the erection of school houses an procuring teachers. The Bureau will gladly furnish the school houses as fast as [[strikethrough]] fast [[/strikethrough]] it can have assurance of teachers to occupy them. Will your commission meet the whole or a part of this demand? I earnest hope it will. Please return Maj. Stone's communication with a general statement of the number of teachers you will probably be able to send in response to this call. If you can do anything, your best way will be to come into immediate communication with Maj. S. or Col. Jordan at Farmville.

Very Respy
