Rev. Robt. Adair:

1334 Chestnut St Philad
Sect'

My Dear Sir: I rec'd a call yesterday from a young colored minister, by the name of Davis if I remember correctly, who stated that he was in your employ. He is striving to build school-houses and seeks aid from the Bureau. Assistance can be given, to a limited extent after we have rec'd assurances from responsible parties that a teacher will be maintained after the school house is completed
I desire to know whether you can assure the maintenance of teachers. An application from yourself, for aid a given point, with [[strikethrough]] an [[/strikethrough]] your official assurance a teacher shall be supported there will be the best way and will have immediate attention.
