Rev. Crammond Kennedy

My Dear Sir: It is horrid bad that the teachers do not arrive: Miss Canedy has made a beginning: but her school cannot be properly organized until Miss Hancocks School is opened and Miss Herne here. In the primary schools we have but three teachers Renne, Jones & Chan when six are required. Everything is confusion and delay.

Let the teachers come on without transportation if that is hindering: I will collect it for you.

Ask Mr. Estes to send a bill of the books, so that one may know at what price to sell them. We cannot use them, except so far as the exchange goes, until we have the bill.

There ought to be more teacher in Richmond. The Episcopal Commission do not send any nor the Bap Home Miss. which takes away ten teacher. Do you know anything about Miss Knowles who taught at the [[strikethrough]] Elme[[/strikethrough]] Elenson Church. Is she to return?
