I have the honor to request that Ten Dollars ($10.) per month, rent, be paid to Mr. J. N. Murdoch, Wellville, Nottoway Co from Jan. 1st inst. for the use of a room in his house, for the purposes of a school. There is a small school house near Mr. Murdoch's dwelling, which will also be used for school purposes, - Mr.M. and wife being the teachers . The number of persons to receive instruction is large, Mr. M is well recommended, and without other aid than is here asked for, except such as the Freedmen may be able to render
Very Respy.
