461 Aug. 29 1868 JH Jones Dear Sir I think we shall re-rent one or two rooms in the U.S Hotel unencumbered by any alliances with politicians. I should be glad to have you furnish one or two teachers for the Hotel, one for the school house foot of brick-walk, one cor. 12th & Leigh, one Wesley Chapel (Butchertown) one at Asbury Chapel, one or two at Chimborazo, one or two at Rocketts. Maximum no. 10. If you have two at Hotel, I think the one at Wesley Chapel might be omitted. Whether you will have two at Chimborazo and two at Rocketts, is something which you can better determine than I. I should be glad to have your schools begin 10th mo. 5th, and of course you can close when it seems to you best to do so. I do not care to renew the soup house experiment. Truly our Friend R.M. Manly Sup Ed. I hope Maine will speak unmistakably for Freedom & Humanity.
