The supply of pupils at that place is problematical and considering her bad health in cold weather, it does not seem to me that her prospect of usefulness warrants any further expenditure than her Malone friends are ready to make.
We do not require any colored assistants at Navy Hill. If you are able to aid in the support of any such there are plenty of places in country to put them. At the time that it was so uncertain about the return of teachers, I asked my friend Rev Dr Rust Sec of the F.A. Soc of the Methodist Church to supply one teacher, which he has consented to do. This makes Miss Parsons place good and leaves all else as last year.
If you get aid from Bureau at Washington it will be for the following in Richmond. Renne, Parker, Jones, Chase, Birge, Mrs. Manly, Hancock and Lynch.
Have you information from Washington, direct and specific in regard to that assistance?
In regard to paying you teachers -- if you have not specific arrangement with them, why not pay them as last year $20 per month and board?
