Rev. []

Dear Sir:

I enclose check for $20 for Miss Olive. This does not meet the first proposed aid 25cts per pupil — neither is it possible to do it. The schools claiming aid are more numerous, and the funds to be rec'd less in the future than was anticipated, and I am obliged to conform my disbursement, all around this state of things. I suppose these teachers are drawing, through their society $10. per month each from Washington.

[->] Mr. Lacys statistical report does not name the Lexington school — from which I infer, I hope unjustly, that their report for Jan. has not been sent to Capt. Lacy, or not in season. Payments of all kinds, both here and at Washington will, in the future, be stopped against teachers who do not make early and correct reports. Reports should be forwarded on the first day of each month, for the preceding month.
Yours Respy
