Gerneral,
I have the honor to request authority to expend the sum of fifty (50) Dollars, to aid in the construction of a Freedmen's School House at Pamplin's Depot, Appomattox County Va.  The lot is about 1/4 of a mile from the depot, and is bounded on the North by the main road leading from Pamplins Depot to Appomattox C.H., on the West by land owned by Wm. Lurphy Eqs on the East and South by land owned by Bevly Matteaur Esq. Beverly Matteaur holds the lot as trustee.

It is estimated that the building will cost five hundred dollars.
