Mr. A. Thompson

Dear Sir:

My absence from the city since the date of your letter has hindered an earlier reply.

Our rent accounts are made up complete at the end of each month and forwarded to Washington. It is too late now to put in bills for June and July. Besides we generally expect to pay where we have promised. If John Thompson expected rent it should have been asked for in the beginning. However, if the school is to be continued I shall cheerfully pay rent from the first of August and pay enough more to make up for the loss of rent in May and June. Please inform me at once in regard to this. I hope you will continue to teach if possible.

Yours Truly
