cc: Mrs. Kilbourne

1965

Mrs. Kilbourne has been a science teacher at Anacostia High School in Washington, D. C. since September, 1948. During the years from September, 1948, to July, 1964, she was under my supervision as Assistant Principal and Principal of Anacostia High School. I found Mrs. Kilbourne to be well-grounded in her subject matter, extremely energetic and enthusiastic about her classroom and extra-curricular duties. She has been a constant inspiration to her students, many of whom achieved high science honors in nation-wide competitions. Few teachers, if any, within my knowledge, work as constantly, consistently, and whole-heartedly as she. Also, she has spent several summers in study, up-dating her already excellent knowledge of science. Her reputation and character are securely good among students and fellow teachers alike. Were I in need of a science teacher, I would eagerly seek her services.
