Miss Kate Cummings Miss Mary L. Brooks

It has been arranged between Mrs. Lowell are the N-E. Branch that Miss Brooks shall go to some other place. This is on account of the smallness of your school and the inability of the people to board two teachers.

Mr. Schaeffer will put Miss Brooks in a good place. Please write to Miss Lucy Eastman, Christiansburg (because Capt. Schaeffer is sometimes absent from home) a day or two before you start, telling her what day and train you will take, and she will have someone at the depot to meet you. When you reach Christiansburg, Capt. S. will see you put in a good place, and well taken care of. It is Mrs. Lowells and Mrs. Cheneys wish that you go to your new place at once

Yours truly
R M. Manly
