Dear Sir, Your letter to Gen. Howard has been forwarded to me. There is very little can be done for your school at this season of the year.  

When you have opened your school, write me how many scholars you have, and I will best I can. I send blank reports. One should be filled out and sent me on the last day of each month. I also send blank rect for aid from the Peabody Fund. Fill out and sign two on that last day of each month and forward them with the report.

There is very little that I can do to aid you in your school. I will pay $5. per month from Feb. 1. as long as I can spare the means from the Peabody Fund. I send you blank school reports. Fill out one on the last day of each month and forward to me. 

I also send blanks for the money. Fill out two on the last day of each month and sign them, and forward with the Reports.
