Mr. J.J. Fowler

Dear Sir:

I am unable to say, now whether I shall be able to stop at Marion when I make my Southern and Western trip. I should be very glad to meet your people and talk to them.

I am sorry to inform you that the money for building school houses is all gone, and nothing can be done to help you this year. They are not sending me a supply for that purpose from Washington.

Yours &c
R.M. Manly
