Sir,

Your letter of 25th inst. is received. If will cost about $10.00 each for Rail Road fare from Wytheville to Richmond Va.  Wytheville is the nearest Rail Road from Tazewell Co. The children can make arrangements to get to Wytheville as Mr. Whittier will let them go.  From Richmond to Providence the fare will be about $12 each.  If the money for this fare to Richmond is forwarded to me Mr. Austin the Asst Revenue officer at Wytheville will make efforts to get the children away, and if necessary will return the money.
