a teacher of Natural Science who has one class a day in Natural Philosophy and lectures occasionally on Human Physiology, and Hygiene, and another teacher who gives occasional lesons in vocal music.
 
The school in sustained principally by the New England Branch Ft U. Commission - the expense to that association being about $1600.00 per annum. The City of Richmond last year appropriated $600. in aid of the current expenses and the Peabody Educational Fund furnishes $300. per annum.
  
The principal building is 32 feet by 52 feet, of brick, two stories with bell tower - a well constructed and well furnished building. It also has a school library and a philosophical apparatus. It is owned by the "Richmond Educational Association" of which Andrew Markham is Pres., R. M. Manly Secretary and Agent, and Samuel Ruth, Treasurer.
