Dear Sir: I am very glad of the interest you take in your work and thank you for the invitation to visit your school. It is impossible for me to visit all the schools, therefore I feel obliged to make the most of my time, when I do go away, by visiting along the lines of rail-road, where there is little or no loss of time in getting from one school to another. I fear I will not be able to get to your place, although I would like much to do it.

Dear Sir:
I am sorry to be obliged to inform you that the funds for the support of schools this year are so far exhausted, that I cannot engage to aid any new ones. Many old ones must soon be discontinued for lack of support
I hope you will be able to start your school and that some assistance will come to you from the state before long.
Yours Truly
