Sir,
In compliance with your communication of June 3rd I forward herewith complete list of schools for Freedmen in this State. Called or intended to be High or Normal schools &c viz:

I.. Hampton Normal and Agricultural Institute located at Hampton, Va.
Supported by the Am. Miss Assoc. of New York- Seventy five pupils, divided into three classes, Primer, Middle and Senior and six teachers. Two frame one storey buildings each 140 x 25. Two brick two storey buildings each 40 x 40. One, one story frame building 40 x 25 One three story brick building in form of Greek Cross.....100 x 85.
The foregoing are for residence of pupils, teachers and officers. There are [[?]] [[?]]
