Your note of 25th with enclosed with enclosed check is received. The Mrs. Sarah A. Pendleton for whom it is intended, is the teacher of a colored schools.

The checks have heretofore since January last, reached her safely. I shall hold the check until I hear from the person for whom it is intended.
