Yours of 29 ult. is received. You seem to have misunderstood my report, no doubt partly owing to my blunder. I ought [[strikethrough]] not [[/strikethrough]] to have recorded these teachers as employed in teaching 3 months, instead of ten. As this is the end of the school year, I put them down as having been employed by this Committee during the year though I only applied for rent for the quarter, as I think the figures plainly indicated. We have been paid rental for the two previous quarters, beginning Oct 1 '68 or Nov.

You write that I should have given the no. pupils under instruction each month. My instructions from Washington, if I understand them, are the average for the quarter. This simplifying the business seems necessary where
