Halifax Ct Ho June 4th/69
R.M. Manly Esq
Superd't. Education &c.

Sir
Your letter of May 29-came duly to hand but I was forced to leave my home on business immediately afterward-consequently I have delayed to answer before.
A School is now held in the building. The name of teacher is Miss Ct. Gowell. The names of Trustees you mention are all at this place-or persons who they represent. Wilson Williams told me some time since that he had a letter from you and was writing far the return of Capt Stowell before he answered it. Stowell since told me that, he had written to you given such information you issued. We have a good house-but the Teacher here-now is very inefficient-weak winded. The Teachers all had before were fine. I shall write to Col Carson to send us someone else. I have boarded her this year but can do so no longer. I have a deep interest in school and want to see if prosper.

I and with respect
Yours &c
M.P. Ensey
