Christiansburg, Va., October 31st 1869,

Rev. R.M. Manly
Supt. of Ed, Va.

Dear Sir:
Enclosed please find vouchers for repairs &c. on School buildings in South Western Virginia. In the case of Salem, the African Methodist Church, declined the use of their House for School purposes, and we therefore send in estimate, to enlarge the present House sufficiently, to accommodate the School, now being held at that place.

I would respectfully recommend the appropriation of Sixty dollars to complete School Building at Neck Creek, Pulaski County, Va.

Very Respectfully,
C.S. Schaeffer
Asst. Supt. of Ed.
Bureau of R.F. & A.L.
