Finding that much good had been done by the Lady refered to, and very great desire existing on the part of the Parents & children to have their school again in operation. I authorized the Trustees to employ a Teacher at once and report properly to Col Lee. they reorganized on [[strikethrough]] the [[/strikethrough]] the 1st of January last with Miss Elizabeth A. Henry (col'd), of Georgetown D.C. as Teacher she reported per instructions to Col Lee during the spring, but not untill it was too late for him to assist her pecuniarially under the system preceding the present arrangement.

Therefore I respectfully request that the Trustees of Lincoln Village (col'd) School, be Paid thirty (30) dollars for the Quarter ending March 31st 1869 it being the amount due Miss Henry for Teaching 3 months per contract her average number of Pupils as shown by her letter accompanying this are about Forty (40).
