THIS is an incorporated body of Colored Baptists, representing the denomination in the United States, and laboring with wonderful success to spread the Gospel and general intelligence among their brethren. They are supporting missionaries and teachers with a success and an inexpensiveness that claims for them a liberal support

THE SUMBEAM.-THE SUNBEAM is published monthly, under the patronage of the Consolidated Convention, and devoted mainly to the interests of Sunday-schools and the evangelization of the youth. We want and must have 50,000 paying subscribers. Enclose 50 cents for yourself, and then speak to your school and neighbor. One copy for one year, 50 cents;10 copies, $3.50; 25 copies, $6.00; 50 copies, $9.00; 100 copies, $15.00; 200 copies, $25.00. If you wish to furnish THE SUNBEAM to some poor School in the South, that needs and wants it, but cannot pay for it, send something for that, and THE SUNBEAM shall be regularly sent to such a School. General: This is to call your attention to the educational work of the Consolidated Amer. Bap. Missionary Convention and again request you to aid and encourage us as a national organization in common with other leaders no more meritorious than we. 
The officers of the 2nd Baptist Church of Richmond, Va., have legally transformed the Basement of their Church building to us to be used by us as long as we clean it, if forever for school purposes. We are obligated, for this priviledge to complete furnish the basement and constantly maintain a first class school, embracing nor-mal and theological training. The enterprise is now under the direct supervision of Rev. William Troy, Pastor of this church, whom
