R.M. Manly, Supt. Education
Richmond, Va.
In reluctant conformity with recent & final instructions from Washington, by which it appears that the Danville buildings cannot be purchased by the Assoc'n nor Rental "directly" or "indirectly" allowed for the school there, I send the Rental application "shown of its fair proportions" but I hope now correct and acceptable. Also enclosed application for allowance from Peabody Fund for 1st ms. - At Salem a double rate was promised on R.E.R Thompson's a/c, the 1/2 ms. is therefore reckoned at $5._ I have ventured to include the schools at Clover Depot & Pittsylvania C.H, though not encouraged by them to do so, they can easily be omitted if not approved but this I hope will not be the case our receipts are cut off in so many ways, expenditures in none. Thy kindness is endeavoring to aid the Assoc. to obtain the Rental or the buildings is duly appreciated
