Providence R.I March 28 1870
Rev R.M. Manly yours of the 12th was gladly reseved in regard to my boys, Wm H and Charles [[alx?]] Harris. lives with Mr James Wm Whitten in Tazewell co Va. the inclosed letter informes me that my boys are very badly treaed and have had to Been a way one of them and one is a invalid boy. Charles was very sickly from a child. I surpose him to Be the one. I would B glad if you can communicate with them at your next oppurtunity. I seen Mr Whitten in Richmond 1866 I tought my Boys was in the city with him but he sed not  and he did not mean to send them if I wanted them to come and I
