2 Stephen Colwell, Pres. Francis R. Cope Vice-pres. Ellis Yarnall, Rec. Sec. Robert R. Corson, Cor. Sec. E. W. Clark, Treasurer, 33 South Third Street. Pennsylvania Freedmen's Relief Association, No. 711 Sansom Street, Philadelphia, ______________ 18 not wish to delay this report. I have not made up the "rental buildings pr month" not knowing how you wish that done. I understood both Genl. Howard & yourself to say that we are to have "$10 pr month for every 30 avg. attds" & you thought we would receive $5 pr month for each new school, from the Peabody Fund. Without the schools not reported, I make the Average Attendance for January 1483 $490. Average Attendance for February 1594 530 Average Attendance for March 1527 510 ____ ____ 4604 $1530 I hope this may be correct and that you may be able to pay for some of our schools the $15 pr Quarter from the Peabody Fund. We can get very little money from the freedmen in your state this year, and without this help from you, I do not see how we can continue our schools. Yours very truly Robt. R. Corson Cor. Secy.
