Dear Mother,

Yesterday I did a lot of heavy cleaning (quilted bedspread, rug & other details, bookcase assembly) in order to make our salable items salable & get ready to go. A lot of people called & a few came & the end result was  the sale of the old typewriter & metal cabinet. I didn't get much translating done but have only 8 pages to go, which I should finish today. Then I will start to pack the trunk.

The bookcase (but 1) and cabinets are all being emptied on to the floor, creating more & more dangerous living conditions. Today that last (& largest) bookcase should add its pile to the place. What a mess!
