We didn't hear from Lena either.

We have not received any notification of a magazine subscription as yet, but perhaps the Christmas rush has put it off a bit. Thank you very much, you have been too generous! About photography, we took some pictures at Christmas and are now having them developed. We haven't taken many pictures since last summer and probably won't until we leave this location. We just have all the photos we want here.

Classes do not begin until Monday. Jack is busy at his work of course and I am doing a rater long math assignment made to give us a good holiday. No Russian at the moment but a few hours a day put in to keep Fisher happy. I have a new job from a physic professor which I promised by the end of the month of January, which will not hurry me until after finals.

Thank you for the black moss aid. Before we se those people again I will get the book out.

Jack gave me a very nice Christmas present this year--a rose printed nylon quilted robe. I had always wanted one of those. It is warm and light and washes easily. He has been meaning to get one for years but was always afraid to. I made a present for myself, too, a knitted helmet-type hood of pink and black. I don't see how anyone goes into this cold without something like it.

Well, that is about all for the present. Oh yes, will you please send me my visa? I think that you have it. If I use this visa instead of getting a new one, merely having it renewed, I will save quite a bit of money. We can get new and renewed visas at the Post Office in Chicago, one of the few places in the country where we can do that. We must start that business soon regardless of whether or not we hear. We will be going somewhere in Europe. Don't rush too much to find it. We won't go to Chicago for at least a month.

Happy New Year!

Love,
Doris & Jack
