Dear folks,
At lunch today Jack suggested that we start our Christmas shopping, and I think that the reason it came into his mind was that today a rather determined if not much accumulating snow is falling. It is our second snow, actually; last week it snowed a bit also.
This morning the landlord and landlady presented us with another, better, stove. We had complained a few weeks ago for the following reason: while cooking a special treat for Jack, namely a steak, on the broiler, the burner fell off and landed on the steak, ruining it! So when some tenants upstairs were replaced by tenants with their own stove, the landlord & landlady moved this stove down. As is usual with the stoves we obtain, the burners were greasy, 1 did not light, and only 1 lit with the pilot. But we are used to this, so Jack is manufacturing means of making them
