books for our library to order from weekly Russian book lists and write down the necessary library information on cards. I am paid only $1.20 an hour, but that may be increased. I shall need about 15 hours a week doing that, I assume. I am also applying for a job translating for a company which pays $5 an hour, which Mrs. Sobetka brought to my attention today. So we shall be well remunerated this year, and I will gain valuable experience in several areas. This makes it my busiest semester to date, but after things settle down a bit I should not be too pressed. Also, Jack will help a little with household duties.

One thing I intend to buy with my well-earned salary is a better typewriter- more of the age of Dad's. I sold (for the same price as I paid for it) the most recent typewriter I acquired and am also planning to sell the one we've had for 3 years, and have one prospect for it.

We may (probably) develop the portraits of you folks this week end, but it may be some time before they are in good order.

We won't be going to Chicago for some time, probably two weeks hence.
