the time they required, i.e., 3 months, and they have not replied as yet.

We took a picture of a rabbit in the park not long ago and today, while sorting slides, we decided it was a terrible picture and threw it in the wastebasket. As if ironically, this morning I found an orphaned baby rabbit and am sheltering it. It is smaller than the one I had as a child and would only take milk. We'll pack it along on the trip, of course!

We have been as usual both busy and social. We had the Rogers over Monday night, visited the Cederstrands last night, and are dining out with our dinner groups (of 4-5 persons) tonight. I am spending most of my time mounting slides and repairing clothing, but we've also had one swim this week. Jack has gotten his experiment in pretty good shape and trained a fellow in caring for it while he is gone. It is very hot still here.

Well, don't work too hard in Massachusetts, and we'll be seeing you on or about September 4.

Love,
Doris
