must be back by sometime in week before Sept. 21 to avoid $10 fine. We'd like to visit some people in Michigan coming or going, and would prefer the Southern route while coming - but still could perhaps see the Michiganers while [[crossed out]] going [[/crossed out]]. coming, if only the aren't going to be in transit themselves (from Ithaca, N. Y.). So, writing back and forth and planning, we are getting close to final plans. I presume we would still arrive in D.C. before you and would have to get in. Sounds as if we may be there at the same time Kruschev is. I'll have to shout "Mup Mupy!" at him.

Not much is going on except study and mild photographic fiddling: I'm trying to get developed (at home) some black & white pictures taken of the cat of the lady upstairs. I don't know whether I've mentioned her or not, but she is a widow working in the kitchen of a hospital near here, about 68, a very pleasant woman, who adores mainly her cat Mickey, a white long-hair. She has a tiny income but is very independent. I thought we'd try to get some good picture of the cat and give them to her.

Will be hearing from you again after their latest crisis is over, fortunately.

Love,

Doris
