515 Bash Court Champaign, Illinois June 17, 1959 Dear Folks, We weren't long in Chicago- went up Friday and returned early Monday. Marguerite was in Louisiana, but Grandpa was alone and we could take him out on Sunday to a Forest Preserve. We also saw our other friends the Davises and did some shopping. Grandpa took quite a few pictures on two of his cameras. Since they don't have a car any more he doesn't get out [[strikethrough]] so [[/strikethrough]] much, tho' the Starcks sometimes take them out. Registered Monday and began classes Tuesday, but as yet our text is not in the bookstore and the homework is light so I have been spending most of the time working on my new bed cover. I finished the quiet past yesterday and am still not there with the "flounce". When done it looks like this. [[image]] bedspread on bed [[/image]] <-- quilted cotton, blue & green geometric pattern, covers top of bed, and tucks at end. <-- Pillowcases, navy (day) on one side and white on the other (night) <-- nave flounce, snaps attach it to padded box spring under mattress. <-- side of tucked sheet The Cederstrand sewing machine [[strikethrough]] will [[/strikethrough]] has been very active lately.
