Dear folks,

Just finished an exhausting lab session which lasted me and my partner 4 1/2 hours. Everyone else had left when we almost finished -- but our instructor was hungry, so we quit. Labs take a lot out of you!

I believe you asked about the couch cover in the next-to-last letter. It was of a heavy cotton, like a light canvas. You could use any number of fabrics, I suppose. I wanted a washable one that matched the room, that's all. Any fabrics designed for covering upholstery would do, the washable ones may be the best for you also. I can't see sewing it by hand, so perhaps you can await a visit from us. I took about 12 hours to sew it and the pillow [[strikethrough]] cushion [[/strikethrough]] covers on a machine, but the latter were fussy. No flounces, or hanging parts: merely a "box" of fabric. 

Regarding the picture taken at the Hawk's', I wrote them at Christmas that the camera store said it was impossible to print the picture because it was too dark in tones- so I didn't do anything with it, most regretfully. Only bright
