and light slides reproduce well, and it costs [[strikethrough]] 1.75¢ ea [[/strikethrough]] 75¢ each for a reproduction, so we mostly stick to slides. We have ordered a new lens for the projector which should make it reproduce perfectly. (It was noticeably fuzzy on edges) Then we'll have the best projector we know of. The winter ice storm & snow picture came out well, but a little oddly. The snow becomes blue on the film unless you expose more than we thought right at the time. We'll learn. 
Lately no pictures, & won't be any more for a time. It rains, snows a little, and is generally most uninteresting to look about. The vivarium across the way has added ~4 Canada geese, which seem lighter (in weight) than ones I had seen before. They must have come from the wild, for they are very nervous in contrast to the gulls & mallards. Our small (pocket) bird guide says that there are various sub-species of this goose.
Next Wednesday, a week from today, at 2:30, Jack has his orals (~2 hours long). He is, as you may imagine, very busy. He has just gotten the "book", a collection of comments by former exam takers, who listed as well as they recalled the questions asked & all else relevant.
